Is there any truth to the saying: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer? Do you have enemies? Do you have more friends than enemies?
That saying expresses how most of my life in the last few years has been. I've worked hard to make friends and to find my family, but I as I can't stay in one place very long, and therefore, keeping friends and staying in touch with them is very hard.
I do keep close tabs on the Centre and its personnel, especially Broots, Sydney and Miss Parker (the three who are assigned to capture me and bring me back). Miss Parker was my friend as a child but since her mother died she's been a bit lost. She's as much a prisoner of the Centre as I am. We're both lost, wondering who we are.
I keep even closer tabs on my true "enemies" I guess you could say. Mr. Lyle, Mr. Raines and Mr. Parker... all of whom are intent on hurting me and the ones I love. |
